PROJECT
|
I am currently engaged in a social history of biological theories of crime. Covering both the United States and Europe, the study traces the evolution of biological explanations of criminal behavior from the late 18th century into the present.
Another paper, "Criminology, Film, and Recent Sex Crime Movies," has been accepted for publication in Theoretical Criminology and will appear there in late 2006. In addition, a paper on the criminological work of Hans Eysenck will appear in Fall 2006 in the journal History of the Human Sciences.
Finally, I now have a contract from NYU Press for the book Criminology Goes to the Movies.
When I have finished these projects, I plan to write a book on the painter Titian and sixteenth-century Venice.
